Registration and a light breakfast at 9am,
Workshop begins promptly at 9:30am

Pediatricians and many other agencies in San Francisco are offering developmental screenings for young children. A developmental screening is a quick look at how children are doing in important areas of their development—communication, physical abilities, social skills, and problem-solving skills. Parents are key partners in these screenings.

This workshop will provide information for parents about . . .

  • Benefits of screening young children early

  • How screening works

  • Parents’ role in screening

  • The Ages and Stages Questionnaire (ASQ-3) screening tool

WHO SHOULD ATTEND THIS TRAINING?
This workshop is for all parents who have children between the ages of birth through five years who want to learn more about screening.


WHO SHOULD ATTEND THIS TRAINING?
The workshop is to help families understand the ASQ-3 and feel comfortable being part of the screening process.

A light breakfeast will be provided. Interpretation services provided if requested when registering at least two weeks in advance. We try hard to accommodate all participants, but please note that all materials might not be available in your language of preference.

Limited child care is available for those who reserve a spot in advance. Child care requests must be made by calling Support for Families Phone Line at 415.920.5040.
